Buffoon's financial advice, revisited

On 1 June I recommended buying BP on 7 June - as a short-term investment.
On 7 June, BP closed at $36.76.
Today it closed at $37.10.
Yesterday it closed at $38.92.
Yesterday was the first day you would have seen a profit if you'd taken my advice.

On 14 June I called DJIA bottom at 8500.
Now - it's likely to get down there... SOMETIME!
... but my calls are generally to be interpreted as more-or-less short-term forecasts...
I suppose if it gets down there within a quarter - say, by 14 September - I could take credit for it...
... but I was really anticipating a more precipitous decline.
