GOP foreign policy: Perpetual War

From HuffPost:
Newt Gingrich Suggests Attacking Rest Of 'Axis Of Evil' (VIDEO)

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich twice called on the United States to attack North Korea and Iran Thursday because the United States has only attacked "one out of three" of so-called "Axis of Evil" members by invading Iraq.
What's wrong with these people???

Just for fun: once upon a time I noted W's administration's proclivity for "magical thinking" - "we create our own reality"; if the right incantation is pronounced, the problem will be fixed... basically, the power of words and words alone to change reality was consistently asserted by W & his minions.

I note that Gingrich's appeal to W's "axis of evil" formulation continues this fine tradition.
In Gingrich's world-view, W having identified Iraq, Iran, and North Korea as "The Axis of Evil" has magically changed the world: YES! - these three countries ARE "The Axis of Evil" - W said it, therefor it is true!...
... and, more to the point: SOMETHING MUST BE DONE ABOUT IT!!!

And then?
... Cuba?
... China?
... The Socialist European Union???

... any and all of these would make fine enemies!

Stop the madness!

  1. Gingrich is certifiable, but at least he's so mouthy it's impossible to miss. With statements like this, he undermines his party perfectly; the wars we've got on the table are not popular with anyone anymore. Wonder if he's secretly in the pay of the Democrats?
