In a previous post I included Condi's tortuous response to the yes/no question, "Is waterboarding torture in your opinion?"

During the same confrontation with Stanford students ...

Rice declared that al Qaeda is a greater threat to the United States than Nazi Germany was because "Nazi Germany never attacked the homeland of the United States."

An identical argument would suggest that Condi believes al Qaeda is a greater threat to the U.S. than was the Soviet Union... We were NEVER in a shooting war with the USSR! - and the Soviet Union certainly "NEVER attacked the homeland of the United States."

Would she accept this argument?
