(STMNews) In a surprise turn-about, Iran's president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad today announced that Iran is renouncing all nuclear ambitions.
In addition, Mr. Ahmadinejad offered an olive branch to Israel. "We are all children of God, no matter the name by which we call Him. I invite my Israeli brothers to join me in a celebration of our shared humanity." Mr. Ahmadinejad invited Israel to send a diplomatic mission to Iran "immediately", and promised that he would send Iranian diplomats to Jerusalem within the week. "After all", Mr. Ahmadinejad said, "Jerusalem was promised by Allah to Abraham and David, and is the Jews' patrimony!"
