Iraqi police: Suicide blasts in Baqouba kill 30
Rachel yesterday chatted with a fellow who covers Iraq - he's headed back there today.
I'll not get this quite right (and am too lazy to look for the transcript), but he said something to the effect that, a member of the Iraq election commission confessed that if Saddam were on the ballot for today's election, she'd vote for him... and that most of her colleagues on the election commission would vote for Saddam, too.
A strong-man imposing order on the chaos wrought by W is what Iraqis most desire.
