Obama says he's committed to immigration overhaul

Don't get me wrong: I think immigration overhaul is a good idea!
... I just don't think it oughta be what Obama is making noise about right now.

Me? I'd prefer he make noise about overhaul of financial regulation (see, e.g., 82% of Americans want tighter regulation of Wall Street ), or need for more stimulus (coupled with infrastructure repair), or pursuit of the torturers among us.

Tackling immigration reform NOW seems a tactical blunder:
1) there are much bigger fish to fry;
2) he's laid no foundations - there's been no preparatory groundwork.

Please, Mr. President, pick a few priorities and pursue them vigorously.
Don't use a shotgun - use a .22 target rifle!
