WASHINGTON - Geraldine Ferraro stepped down Wednesday from an honorary post in Hillary Rodham Clinton's presidential campaign amid a controversy regarding her comments that Barack Obama wouldn't be succeeding in the race for the White House if he weren't black.

A Barack Obama adviser has resigned after calling rival Hillary Rodham Clinton "a monster."
A campaign official told The Associated Press Friday that Samantha Power's resignation is effective immediately.
Both campaigns seem to be shedding personnel at an alarming rate. (Okay - this may be over-stated... CLINTON's campaign seems to be shedding personnel at an alarming rate!)
