BAGHDAD - U.S. and Iraqi forces launched a major operation to strike against al-Qaida in Iraq and other extremists, the U.S. military said Tuesday, hoping to build on a recent reduction of violence and push militants from their strongholds.
How many times did we cleanse Samarra of insurgents? Mosul? Baghdad?
When will we get the clue: they'll come back! WE are the problem.
We've tried. We've failed. Maybe it's time to try something different.
Will Iraq without us be a model of peace & civility? I doubt it - but it will no longer be OUR problem.
Stop the madness.
