McCain proposes business tax cuts

AIKEN, S.C. - Republican presidential candidate John McCain proposed an economic stimulus plan on Thursday that would lower the corporate income tax rate and provide a host of other tax breaks for business
A fews posts ago I reviewed the Republican Prez candidates' economic policies, all of which featured tax-cuts at the center.
... and not just tax cuts, but tax cuts for business. How hard can it be to use this against 'em? "Compassionate conservatism has compassion for Big Business, not for the middle class." Other, more creative folks ought to be able to frame the issue better than I, but you get the idea.
It wouldn't hurt to remind voters that W's tax cuts have made everything worse: federal deficit up, slower growth, etc. Remind folks that the last time we saw this was with Bush 41, following Reagan's "trickle-down", voodoo-economics-based tax-cuts in the 80s. Acting against all the evidence, the Republicans just want to keep digging, in thrall to their corporate masters.
When the solution to every economic ill is "cut taxes", one begins to suspect that these folks aren't really very serious.
Run on W's record!
