"You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar"

A simple suggestion for our next President:
Make this homey adage the basis of your foreign policy:
You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.
The New Dictionary of Cultural Literacy, Third Edition. 2002. provides the following easy-to-understand interpretation of this proverb:
You can win people to your side more easily by gentle persuasion and flattery than by hostile confrontation.
The current Administration's confrontational approach has not borne much fruit. Maybe it's time to try something different.

Stop the madness!
