Somehow this seems a whole lot less rational than "tax and spend", which is almost surely the epithet the Republicans will use against their Dem opponents.
No matter the state of the economy, the Republican response is always, "cut taxes." This is a pretty clear indication that the "cut taxes" shibboleth is not policy, but the only economic response recorded on the Chatty-Cathy Republican doll.
Exactly what ought Government fund? How ought we pay for it?
