Sen. McCain & Sen. Obama both appeared at the annual Alfred E. Smith Memorial dinner tonight, to deliver humorous speeches.
McCain is a much better comedian than Obama.
His material was superior - that might be only a function of his writers.
BUT: his delivery was spot-on!!!
(Obama, by contrast, seemed ill-at-ease telling a joke.)
Both were appropriately self-deprecating, and both took what seemed to be good-natured digs at the other.
I'm pretty sure the vid will be replayed on CNN & MSNBC... and probably find its way to some accessible web address. Look for it.
Again: McCain wins this minor competition hands down!!!
