ReplyDeleteActually, I'm not that concerned about this--most students are smarter than they get credit for, and I think a lot of them will see through this propaganda.

ReplyDeleteI agree. In past 2 months I've been in a melodrama presented to 4th- thru 8th-grades.
The kids are attentive, receptive, and responsive - and the Q&A sessions following each performance demonstrate that they've paid attention to the play, and are interested in theater. It's been a delightful experience - and has confirmed the basic premise of your comment: "... most students are smarter than they get credit for..."
