From Friday's Senate debate:
Mr. McCain: "... The American people are figuring out that this is not a stimulus bill. It is a spending bill full of unnecessary spending, unexamined policy changes or policy changes that have been examined and rejected in the past, and, of course, tax cuts which do not stimulate the economy.
[AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 -- (Senate - February 06, 2009)], emphasis added]
... of course, a few minutes later he returned to his own "reality":
Mr. McCain: "... The whole point is to enact tax cuts and spending measures that truly stimulate the economy."
This guy wanted to be President!
